ABOUT Sport & Exercise Psychology
What is sport & exercise psychology?

Sport and exercise psychology is the study of how psychological factors impact sport and athletic performance, physical activity, and exercise.
Sport & exercise psychologists work with a range of people including athletes, officials, coaches and more to help these individuals and teams cope with the demands of their job. The aim is to address sport performance from a mental/psychological standpoint to help take your performance to a higher level.
It is a relatively new field from which many sporting professionals and amateurs currently benefit.

Who is it for?

Any individual or team involved in sport or exercise looking to improve their performance levels whether at the amateur, professional, or any level in between.

It is a chance to step away from the physical side of things and spend time working on the mental and psychological demands of your sport.

Topics can include, but are not limited to: motivation, coping with pressure, self-confidence, team dynamics, overcoming injury, and focus.

If this sounds like something you are interested in, please don't hesitate to get in contact or book a consultation.

How the process works

The process begins with an initial free consultation. This enables me to understand what is going on for you and to help you define your goals. It also allows you to see if InnerStrength Performance is a good fit for you.

During the consultation, we would map out how working together may look going forward and decide the best plan of action for you.

Any questions you may have including cost, frequency of sessions, and methods of support will be covered.
